Programme Summary
At the Great School Trust, we not only offer National Professional Qualifications (NPQs) but also provide opportunities for our staff to become facilitators of these programmes, thereby enhancing leadership prospects for those aspiring to future leadership roles.
Our suite of NPQs are prestigious professional qualifications widely recognised within the education sector. They are designed to support the professional development of teachers and school leaders at all levels and across all phases. These qualifications are provided in partnership with the National Institute of Teaching (NIOT), ensuring high-quality training and development.
By becoming facilitators of NPQs, our staff can deepen their own expertise, contribute to the growth of their peers, and play a vital role in the leadership development, within the trust. This dual opportunity not only enriches individual career paths but also strengthens the collective leadership capacity of our schools.
Our senior leadership NPQs are:
* National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL) – for school leaders who are, or are aspiring to be, a senior leader with cross-school responsibilities. National Professional Qualification for Headship.
• National Professional Qualification for Headship – for school leaders who are, or are aspiring to be, a headteacher or head of school with responsibility for leading a school. National Professional Qualification for Executive Leadership
- National Professional Qualification for Executive Leadership (NPQEL) – for school leaders who are, or are aspiring to be, an executive headteacher or have a school trust CEO role with responsibility for leading several schools.
There are two cohorts November and February. We aim for local delivery in one of our academies whenever possible.
