Programme Summary
Our governance programmes are centred around ensuring that all academy staff undertake statutory training and that our governors are well-trained to undertake their roles.
Our statutory training for all staff includes
- Annual safeguarding and child protection training, inc Prevent
- Keeping Children Safe in Education – in line with annual updates
- Data protection/GDPR training at least every 2 years
- Health and Safety
- First Aid and medical conditions (select staff)
- SEND
- Looked After Children
- Equality and Diversity
At induction and then annually thereafter, we ask trustees and governors to complete safeguarding training and data protection training as a minimum. Governors also undertake specific training related to their key responsibilities at Great Schools Trust.
